GRP announces Sustaining our Sounds Gala!
[quote align="center" color="red"]Save the date of September 20, 2014 to join GRP in celebrating our sustainers, our past and future sounds and the community that makes us who we are! [/quote] This gala will be the culmination of four events taking place throughout 2014 that together represent the four cornerstones of Girls Rock Philly: artistic experimentation, fearless expression, thoughtful analysis, and imaginative action.
Part 1: Artistic Experimentation!
Taking place in April 2014, this was the first of two music and art shows, that kicked off a series of events celebrating our sustainers and the future of GRP while at the same time raising awareness and money for the organization. The show featured music and art from GRP supporters and volunteers with all proceeds (from art sales and donations) going directly to Girl’s Rock Philly. Participating Artists included:

Part 2: Fearless Expression!
Taking place July 26, 2014, this is the second music and art show in the series and will feature the work of GRP youth. The show will be run and curated by youth in our Summer Music Institute. The Bean Cafe, 615 South Street. 6pm - 9pm. Donations accepted.
Featuring work from the following students included: Sarah, Olivia, Willow, Abreanna, Tracey, Cinnamon, Thea, Daizha, Joeannie, Sophy, Indigo, Victoria and Tania (Mastery Gratz Interns at GRP).
Work will be up at The Bean throughout the months of July and August!
Part 3: Thoughtful Analysis!
This will be a community training as part of our 2014 leadership initiative. More information soon! Dates will be announced in early August!
Part 4: Imaginative Action!
Our 8th annual summer camp showcase on Saturday August 9 at the Trocadero! 15 brand new bands, 2 DJ crews. Get ready for an amazing performance.
