Wonder.
with wonder comes feelings of intense, but satisfying awe as we experience something as if we've encountered it for the first time.
GRP Friends,
This year, we celebrate all of the accomplishments of GRP and embrace the wonder of how GRP will continue to take shape and form.
As we continue our work we are affirming not only the identities of girls and women worldwide, but our trans and nonbinary identities that have always been present at GRP.
We are hoping that you would consider becoming a sustainer or giving a one time gift toward our $10,000 goal to build programs that center care, and spaces where girls and trans and gender-expansive youth are seen, heard, and celebra
Alexa is nineteen years old and has been homeschooled most of her life. She is also a trans-female currently medically transitioning. She struggles with depression, anxiety and insecurity around her sexual identity and appearance. Until this summer, Alexa had only left the house for over 5 years for doctor’s appointments. She was recommended to Girls Rock Philly by her doctor. Shortly after that, she saw our advertisement for Summer Rock Camp online and expressed interest to her mother Laura. It was Laura who graciously shared their story with us as Alexa was not comfortable but gave her approval for Laura to speak with us.
