GRP has been invited to participate in the 13th annual West Philly Peoplehood Parade, on Sunday, November 3, an awesome community tradition hosted by Spiral Q Puppet Theater that celebrates our communities' creativity, joy, can-do attitudes and the courage to act on our convictions! Come out to our first monthly volunteer get-together at GRP. Join us on Tuesday, November 5th to hear about what we've been up to, how to get more involved, share your ideas and help us with work that needs to be done at our space! 7 pm!

Girls Rock Philly will be attending and participating in the Mashed Media Conference on Saturday, November 9, hosted by the Philly Youth Media Collaborative. This conference will showcase both local and regional examples of innovative and inspiring youth media work. GRP will have a Maker Table set-up for some creative experiments with sound! Girls Rock Philly has been invited to be a beneficiary for Fulfill: A Micro-Granting Meal at Temple on Thursday, November 14 from 6 to 9 pm! For a $15-$25 dollar donation (buy tickets here) you will be served a delicious, locally sourced meal in dishware made by the Tyler School of Art Ceramics and Glass Departments. All of the money raised will be evenly re-granted to three non-profit orgainizations: GRP, Neighborhood Bike Works, and New Leash on Life USA. The dishes are yours to take home as a memento of the event. When you buy a ticket you support GRP and 2 other really great organizations.

Ladies Rock Camp will take place December 6-8, at Russell Byers Charter School in center city Philadelphia. Learn to play an instrument, form a band, write a song and play a show in ONE WEEKEND! Registration is open! Sign up now!

Girls Rock Philly's Winter Showcase and Holiday Party will be on Friday, December 20 from 5:30pm - 8pm. Come check out the new bands formed during the After School Program this Fall and other GRP bands, as well as find out what kind of projects Barracuda Club and Shark Tank have been up to. Celebrate winter and the end of an amazing year!!
